Media


Public Information Officers will be available to assist with media coordination at both the Procession Staging Area and at the Memorial venue.

 Procession:
Procession Line-Up: 10:00 AM
Procession Starts: 11:10 AM (approx)

 Memorial Venue:
  • There will be no media walk through before the event. Enough time will be given ahead of the event to take care of essential technical functions.
  • Members of the media attending the Memorial service will be issued a media pass, upon providing identification as such (organization issued ID, business card and photo ID, etc.), on the day of the event. Check-in with one of the Public Information Officers before 12:30 PM at the Memorial venue "Accessible Entrance".  
  • Media parking has been designated at the Memorial venue. Parking attendants will be available to direct vehicles to the location.
  • Media have an identified entrance to the venue, with entrance beginning at 10:00 AM.
  • Members of the media need to be guided by Public Information Officers at the Memorial venue, to the designated media location (on the second floor), by 12:30 PM.  Entrance will restricted once the ceremonies start at 1:00 PM. 
  • All media will be given access to unobstructed viewing area on the 2nd floor. No media will be permitted on the main floor.

 Following the Memorial, Public Information Officers will guide media to an area where official(s) be made available for statement.

 Aviation:
A flyover will be taking place above the Procession Staging Area, ahead of the Procession, at 11:00 AM.  If any media outlets plan on having helicopters, they should take the necessary precautions to limit their access and monitor their elevation in the area as a result.

Access to Audio:
XLR Connection will be available for audio.
